We have been here for dinner this evening on our travel back from Scotland to the south. And we were quite surprised: rich Italian food in a quite highly frequented small restaurant in a simple but original style in the center of Dunbar. Although it was full the staff was quite kindly and helpful to their guests. We chose bruschetta as starter and a pizza and a vegetarian risotto respectively as main course. Finally we had an expresso and Tiramisu as dessert. But also pasta, salads and some dishes with meat/steak or fish are available. Special menus for kids are also available and vegetarians will find a sufficient variety of menus. We were lucky to gain the last free table today for 2 persons. But it is highly recommended to make a reservation in advance especially when you come with more people or groups. Anyway we can thoroughly recommend this restaurant with 5 stars.

This is a good solid place for lunch or even a dinner when visiting Dunbar. Cross between the UK "junk" food and working class Italian restaurant with some nice surprises on the wide and varied menu.
Bruscetta Garlic mushroom appetizer was great, Cannelloni was consistent with the meal I had a decade prior and it's reasonably priced for the main entrees.

Lunch menu £5 ,but it gets really busy so maybe skip it and come back and enjoy it at night. -

Perfect little Italian run by a very lovely woman Brenda all the staff are friendly,helpfully and well presented. Lots of different options on the menu everything I have orders as been lovely, the puddings are a must try. Look forwarded to every visit there. The take always are just as good.

My wife and I were in Dunbar and keen on some easy Italian food. We tried Umberto's, and we're delighted with the quality, the flavor, the service and the prices. We would definitely recommend it as a casual lunch or dinner.

Umbertos is a great place to take the family for an Italian meal the staff are very plesant and children are welcome at any time. The food is great and I would recoment any of thepizza's.
